A lot of fun and a little bit of scary...

...or is that they other way around?

We hit the Gresham ArtWalk on Saturday morning and put our time in waiting for the "Master Face Painter" to paint the kids' faces. Maggie requested to have her face painted like "Starsong". For those of you who don't have an almost 4 year old in your home: that's a My Little Pony. A purple one with stars on her tooshie. SO, here is our little purple pony:

She LOVED IT. I mean really loved it.
Sam, surprise-surprise, asked to be painted up like a TIGER. He didn't want his picture taken- so this is as good as it gets:
Here's a couple semi-random pictures taken by Sam and/or Maggie.

A little health update: we're all well! (we think....).
Oh, and Miles has THREE specialist appointments (urologist, eye dr, and audiologist) over the next two days. fun, Fun, FUN! I'll keep you updated if we learn anything new. (My guess is no and we'll just make more appointments for 6 months out).

The week in review...

Okay, so you don't really want a picture of the week in review here....we've had 3 people puking, 2 people with more-than-loose stools, 2 people with fevers, and one TIRED mama...who thus far has managed to escape the bug (pray that I'll escape it all together- this thing is brutal!).

But, in the midst of being somewhat homebound, Miles did have his first enchilada. He LOVED it. This little guy really has a thing for his sauces. Like father, like son, like son - I guess.

Today we made Moon Sand. Check out the Beautiful Work blog to get the scoop on this great activity.

Hopefully, we'll be healthy soon and able to actually see other people- that would be GREAT. :-)

Best buds...and Slobberpuss.

Best buds.

Here are some fun pics of the slobbery mess, known as Miles.

He's finally got TWO teeth!! and he's got several others that are just waiting in the wings. Still no crawling...no walking....and no babyproofing. :-)

Paint...and a coupla almost four-year-olds...

Eric's dad helped us build a picnic table last weekend, so we're in the process of painting it this week. Here are the kids PAINTING! AND, we didn't even regret letting them do it afterwards. :-)

Sum-sum-summertime!

Maggie helping to prep some corn for us.

Goofy Maggie helping to prep some corn.

Cute, CUTE, smile on Miles. He's looking a bit older all of a sudden, I'd say!

My silly fam....okay, most of my silly fam.

Goofy Thing 1 and Thing 2

Sam came out of the bedroom one evening dressed like this (but with a LONG BRIGHT blue SKIRT over it all- he ditched it before I snagged the camera). He thought he was hilarious. Sam loves to pretend, but isn't really a dress up kinda guy, so he was just cracking himself up. Sidenote: does my 3 year old have a six pack!??!? Yikes.

So, of course, two minutes later Maggie came out in her own idea of a silly outfit. Here was her choice.

Getting caught back up...

I've been a somewhat neglectful blogger lately. Oopsies. Here are some of what we've been up to:
Eric and Sam playing in the POURING RAIN...seriously intense rain for HOURS. They just rans around the yard screaming inbetween thunder and lightening strikes. Safety first you know!

I was very busy just before vacation trying to get some dresses made for the elder of the girl cousins. Here they are, all decked out in them. I THINK that they were hits...I'm glad I made them. It was fun for me to do and fun to see the girls enjoy being matchy-matchy at Sunriver. (l-r: Maggie, Aubrey, Ashlynn, Kari, Lorelai)

Uncle Greg came through with some camo-muscle tees for Sam and Joel. They REALLY loved dressing alike, it seems to be a new-found source of enjoyment for them.

The six older cousins enjoyed a fun super-large-sucker treat one morning. They were very cute all hanging out on the bench together.

Sunriver 2009

We did it! We had a great time at Sunriver this last week with our branch of the Moffat clan. Yes, we all stayed in the same house. Yes, we did sleep (some of us more than others...). Yes, we're doing it again next year!! Thanks Mom & Dad for a great, really great, time.
