Hodgepodge.

So I totally failed to get any pics at Thanksgiving....I am hoping someone will forward some on....(hint, hint, Mom and Dad Moffat)... BUT, we did have a great time. If you want to see a pic of my daughter eating food off the floor, check out Greg & Andrea's blog. We were with the Miller side of the family (Eric's Mom's family)- although there were no actual Miller's present...we missed that branch of the fam....we had a great time catching up with everyone and introducing the kids to each other. Here is a great pic of Maggie from the AM before she got all nastied up with her food.
We got our Christmas tree on Saturday and while trying to get the family ready, Sam had to try on Eric's boots. He loved them, however big and clunky they might have been.
The crew marching thru the frozen mud. Maggie was the only one to fall down, but she fell 4 or 5 times. What a muddy messy little girl.

Then of course came the decorating...the kids love the tree this year- especially the lights and the new cowboy boot ornaments that G&G Moffat got them this year.

There's a first time for everything...

First time making cookies.
First time making a salad.
First "popcorn and a movie".

First headband - for Sam that is.
Some explanation on this last one: Maggie woke up with the worst hair I have ever seen on her head. It was just horrible and it was hanging in her eyes and bothering her- so, before she used syrupy hands to push it back off her face we threw a headband in it. (side note: it actually look rather cute for bedhead at this point...at least from the front.) Sam lost it when we told him that he wasn't going to wear a headband, so Daddy made him a 'boyband' to wear. With a little rising sun, I think the Karate Kid is a good name for this look, or maybe a WWII wounded soldier...either way, he LOVED it. Thank goodness for paper, staples, and Eric's creativity.

...and the winner is.....

We are happy (OK, ecstatic) to report that Leah is sporting one very healthy grain of rice. Yes, that is right. The baby has a heartbeat (today was ultrasound day) and is a whopping 5 mm long. It's the cutest grain of rice I've ever seen. AND, there is only one grain of rice.

SO, for those you who were faithful to vote, here is your Moffatville Internet Polling Horoscope...of sorts.

If you voted for ONE bun in the oven: You are a loving and kind individual who we are blessed to have as friends and family.

If you voted for TWO buns in the oven: You are a realist (I appreciate that in a person) and you aren't afraid of a little extra adventure.

If you voted for MORE THAN TWO buns in the oven: You might be clinically insane, definitely cruel, and probably a male with no children of his own...(Do I know eight guys that fit that description??)...or you are just Lukas and Andrew checking in on too many computers and therefore been voting too much for their own good. (Oh, and did I mention that if you are in this category- I have already dispatched the head hunters- watch your back.)

Who knew?

My husband is a science teacher at Reynolds High School. Recently in the paper there was an article that called the school a 'drop out factory'. We found it funny - in a kind of sick way I guess....

Halloween- oh what a day.

I've never been a huge Halloween fan (thanks to my mom, who isn't either)- but with the little kids- it's starting to get kindof fun. Here is our little two member zoo we took trick or treating this year. The second pic is Sam attempting to roar like a lion. He insisted that he isn't just a lion- he is Simba, the Lion King. What about Maggie you ask? Well, she was tired before we even left the house...and a total wreck afterwards. BUT she did tell everyone she knew that she was a zebra- in case they couldn't tell.

Some pics of the fun. Tostie Arnold (the pooch) included.

Some Moffat cousins- Ashlynn, Kari, Sam, and Maggie. We missed Lorelai and Joel-boy.
