Talk about random....

Miles in his new sunglasses...
Kids with blue tongues from some Ring Pops...

And lastly, a question: What do you get when you cross a three year old boy with his sister's My Little Ponies?
Answer: The discovery that the ponies each have one magnetic foot...thus enabling them to free climb the bunk ladder.

The Muppet Show: Mahnamahna

This is seriously my kids' favorite youtube. They laugh everytime they hear it...now they sing it together, alternating parts. Very cute. Try it on your kids...today! :-)

It's possible they don't know the meaning of the word...

So, we're thinking it's possible that twins don't know the meaning of the word "alone". Here is what we just overheard....

Sam: I wanna be ALONE!
Maggie: Me too, I want to be ALONE too!
Sam: Humph...I wanna be ALONE, maybe we should be ALONE together.
Maggie: Yea...! (as she walks over to where he is)
Eric (from the kitchen): I want to be alone with your mother...whatcha gonna do about that?

Good Friday....with the Rickster.

We have the pleasure of watching Ricky this evening. Sam (seriously) spent the evening dragging Ricky from thing to thing and showing him how everything worked...or if Ricky could do it...
For example: S- I can jump HIGH Ricky! Can you do it?
R- (jumps way higher than Sam thought possible)
S- woah.
over and over and over. Sam was in HEAVEN with this COOL older boy to hang out with.

We dyed eggs...Miles ate the paper.

I just put Miles down, and Eric is out with the twins and Ricky taking a walk. I think there is some MarioKart on the docket for the evening after the twins go down. Ricky is chomping at the bit to get going... :-)

Just pure sugar.

I did one of those things that "those other moms" do: I did a seasonally appropriate edible craft. Here are the kids posing with the arsenal of sugar needed to do this thing.
Poor Miles was stuck in the saucer...I promise he wasn't as bored as this pic looks. :-) I just thought he looked ridiculous, so I posted it.
Mmmmm...sugar. Can you see the excitement on their faces?
We did rice crispy treats...dyed green...then shaped into grass/nests/whatever. Eggs and birds were then carefully placed on top by my faithful helpers. Nice job kids. Ricky will love them tonight, I am sure. :-)

We've got a smiler!!

Finally, I think it's safe to say that we have a smiley kid on our hands. He's been slow to wake up and become interactive with us...but lately, he's just been giggling all day. It's such a fun thing when your baby finally shows that he does enjoy being with you! :-)

Hodgepodge.

Miles got another haircut over the weekend....he loved every moment of it.
Another kids-eating-otterpops pic. For Grandma.

Miles finally learning to sit up in the bathtub. I still haven't gotten a mat for the tub, so he slips and slides everywhere. His eye is slowly starting to straiten out though...don't you think it looks a bit better?

...and WELCOME SPRING! I bought a FEW flowers...and then Eric helped the kids plant them. They loved every minute of it. (seriously...no sarcasm on this one...)

My boys.

Miles and his first rib, taken over Spring Break at Grandma and Grandpa Viertell's house.

Sam during craft time...today.

Overheard today-
Sam: Mommy, let's sing a song from our Bible class.
Me: (surprised my SON was the one requesting a song) SURE! Which one?
Sam: How about "Up on my back and the oopsie and the poopy".
Me: Ummm....not sure I know that one....
