We found some more!

We got some more beach pics from family members and wanted to share some of our favorites with you. This is how mom and dad spent their week walking on the beach- with kids strapped on the back! Maggie's putt-putt golf experience in a nutshell.
T-R-O-U-B-L-E!!
Meals looked something like this: all booster seats on one side and adults smashed on on the other.

Cali Pics, part 2

Sam and Maggie had an "almost-1 Birthday Party." Maggie tried to feed a bit of her cake to Dad. Sam devoured that thing!....okay, Maggie did too.
Sam tried on Grandpa's motorcycle helmet. This is our favorite pic from the week!
(After we got back to Portland)- Dad's working hard to entertain those babies! Posted by Picasa

Some Pics from Cali!

We spent 10 days with Leah's family in California. Everyone had fun - swimming, visiting, playing, and having an official "almost-1-year-old Birthday Party"!! Maggie got her first pedicure from Leah's Aunt Stella. Maggie got her nails done while she snacked on a cracker and talked with her Great Aunt Stella about thinks like "the weather."...just like a real pedicure - right? :-)
Grandpa Viertell had LOTS of fun spending time with the kiddos. They enjoyed it too!
Wah-hoo!! (This guy is 100% boy, eh?!!)

Reason #48 we love Portland

We have blackberries growing in our backyard (as do most people in the area). We realized a bunch were ripe and finally picked some of them. Maggie rather enjoyed her backyard treat. Mmmm, fresh milkshakes tonight!! I love Oregon!! :-)

The beach and beyond...

Look who is stuck under the crib now!! Sam is offically a crawler and Maggie is scooting everywhere BACKWARDS. Bare buns Sammy escaped his diaper change.
We only have to carry one baby down the hall now, the other one just follows!
Grandma and Sam on the beach in Lincoln City, Oregon. We went for a week with Eric's parents, brothers and their families. We had eight adults and six kids along. The kids were all under 3 years old. The youngest four are under a year. We had a blast!!

TB&B part II

These are the yongest four Moffat cousins. Clockwise from Sam: Maggie, Lorelai, and Joel. Grandma spent a lot of time reading books over the week...her current audience is Kari, Maggie, and Ashlynn.
Maggie and Granpa played some guitar.
And she also got some sun at the beach....and ate some sand.

Ahead of her time?

You know Mama was bored when she pulled out the clarinet from under the bed....I left the room to get the camera (ya know, in case something cute happened with the kiddos and the clarinet) and Maggie decided to play on her own while I was out. I don't think it tastes too good, but when you are teething- anything goes I suppose!
She finally figured out that by banging on it she could make the keys make some noise.
