Miles First Root Beer.

The rules for what you can feed a baby have flown out the window in Miles' life. Here he is enjoying his first Root Beer popcicle. He complained anytime Grandpa pulled it away.

We made it!

Well, here are some pics from our first day in California. Miles spent some of the morning hanging out with Great-Grandma Johnson.

And some of the morning crying for his nap. We ALL could use some extra sleep after the drive yesterday...some of us just show it more than others.

Mom and Dad sprung for the Wal-mart special for Sam and Maggie. We had already had to go to the store to exchange their helmets this morning- apparently my 3 1/2 year old children have heads the size of an 8 year old. Seriously, we bought the size 8+. Scary.

They've LOVED the bikes so far. Hopefully the rain will stay away so they can enjoy them this week. Of course, Sam is a pro already. Maggie could use some work on braking...but overall, they are doing GREAT!

Sidenote: I am rarely surprised by having to do things two at a time with the twins...but I guess I didn't really think through what it would be like to teach TWO children to ride bikes...at the same time. It may be a bit more overwhelming than I anticipated...

The Activity of the Day

We took the TV box apart and used it to make a fort today. A BIG fort. A fort as long as our couch. But first we had to decorate it, of course. Here is Maggie - drawing daddy. "Look Mommy, He has funny curly hair!"
The kids.
Here is the portrait she drew of me. I think those are my legs. I guess really do need to drop some weight....at least on one side of my body.
Miles is Mr. Cranky Teether today. Here is the tired boy stuffing his face with biter biscuit.
That's it! Happy weekend!

Miles smiles!

Yup. Here's the proof folks! Miles DOES smile!

I've arrived.

Eric seems to be a very lucky kind of guy. He wins games - both skill and chance- MUCH more often then I do. I often tease him that it's just his "Moffat Luck" that got him something. Well, I think I bit if his 'luck' has rubbed off on my FINALLY. See Kai Run was giving away a pair of shoes each day in February....AND I WON A PAIR! They came in the mail today and I'm super excited for Miles to sport them next fall/winter/spring. They are by far my favorite kiddie shoes and I'm stoaked to have a cute NEW pair for Miles to toddle around in. Now, hopefully I guessed the right size for the boy...

He's 30!

Happy Birthday Eric! We love you so much and are so blessed to have you lead our family! We hope you are having a good day at work, the kids made you cookies this morning and look forward to sharing them with you later today.
Sidenote #1: I have 8 weeks now until I turn 30. That's 8 weeks I'll enjoy remembering how I am married to such an older gentlemen.
Sidenote #2: Maggie spent the majority of her waking hours for THREE DAYS making Eric the hat he is wearing. It includes a picture of an owl (I don't know why), his full name in foamy letters, some "music notes" to show use how the song goes that tells her how to spell his name (again, I don't know what she is talking about), AND one lovely beaded necklace/chinstrap. She thinks it's a helmet he can wear on his bike.
Lookin' good, Honey, lookin' good.

My family.

What a crew, I tell ya. We had spaghetti sauce as part of our dinner tonight. Here is what was left of the fam afterwards: Maggie is covered in sauce, Eric is...ummm??, Sam has shed his clothes, and Miles is in a sleep-deprived trance of somekind. Beautiful bunch, eh?!?
