Day 157: Malheur
Eric was gone 4 days last week on a trip with 80+ honors freshmen students to Harney County, OR for a field experience style trip...I'll post some of the pics he took over the next few days.
Here's Mr. Mo. Chillin' in front of a massive crater....which I'm told looks like a fat lot of nothin' in this picture. ;-)

Day 137-140: Pics from kids
The following is a series of photographs taken by Margaret and Samuel over the last year?....I really don't know. They asked to take the pictures off their camera today, so we did. There were over 500 pictures on their camera. Don't worry, I won't be posting all 500.....
Buckle up folks....here we go!
This picture reminds me of cousin Ashlynn...is it the hair? the vest? the bright eyes? Regardless, I miss you Ashlynn & Lorelai!
Crazy Mommy.
Yup. We do laundry. And sometimes Eric even gets to fold it. I guess Maggie thought it was more important to document the laundry process that night instead of help fold it.
Us....and our firstborns. Our 6 month old, pudgy firstborns. Ahhh.....the memories.
Looks like we drove somewhere sometime. ;-) Ikea maybe?
"That is Aubrey being The Lost Bear!!".
Uh...oh, ok.
Kari Lynn.
Now onto the Dinosaur Study: notice how the plastic dinos match the ones in the book.
HA! Sam's lounge has me laughing out loud. What a goof.
Aurora went tanning.
"That is Ruth, Mom. Ruth from Minneapolis. Good thing we took a picture of her so we don't forget who she is, huh!"
Yes dear. Yes indeed.
I'm thinking this one was taken by Ruth....or is that Ruthis?....or Rufus? They called her everything BUT Ruth while she was here.
Sam's trademark face.
Flo. In a basket.
I take that other one back...this is Sam's trademark face.
Daddy. (Hi Honey! Ready for date-night tonight!? I am...)
Why yes! We DID watch some TV in the last year....and yes, SuperWhy was a part of that experience.
Miles, TODAY, upon wake-up from nap. Photos taken by Maggie.

Mommy, post rest time. Don't I look awake!?
The budding photographer. What a doll.

Daddy. Trying to not look tired?

Day 118-136. HA!!
Ya, so I took a wee bit of a break. Honestly, you didn't miss much....
...but here are some pictures from the last few days JUST FOR YOU MOM. ;-)
I used some overage at Walgreens to buy some sour candy (YUM) the other day, so I hosted a family Guess Who tournament Sunday night after dinner. The winner got candy. So did 2nd, 3rd, and 4th place. Yep. Totally no extra perk for taking 1st. The games were a hit all around and the official winner was: Daddy! No mercy.
When we come into the living room in the mornings, this is what we see. Sam & Maggie laying down watching Curious George with their feet side by side on the heating vent. Someday they won't want to be to close to each other, making it extra cute right now.
We had SUN!!!! this afternoon, so the kids spent most of the day outside. It was so wonderful. Miles is exploring a new area of the backyard (for him anyhow...) and had a blast playing in the dirt with his brother and sister. (he's wearing his new birthday shoes too. We still have a month to go before he turns THREE, but he needed some shoes with good support for his funny little feet now- so he's sporting some new Keens and walking really really well in them, even without his braces, which is a huge blessing as summer weather approaches.)
Sam found a bug (on the tip of his thumb). He used to just find them and point them out to Maggie, who would then pick them up because Sam was too scared to. He's embraced the backyard finally and is carrying bugs to me all the time now. They told me this one is a girl. Don't ask me how they know...
This is the home Maggie was making (for well over an hour) for this bug. This pile of bark has been used to make many critters a home....squirrels, worms, ladybugs, ants, beetle-ish things....whatever they find (or just see in the neighborhood) gets a home made for it.
Funny-laughing-boy.
...but here are some pictures from the last few days JUST FOR YOU MOM. ;-)
We've been trying to teach Miles to keep his towel ON when he leaves the bathroom after his bath. He pretty much throws it off and makes a n*ked run for it through the house. He's finally catching on a little bit. (just for documentation sake: I think this picture shows well the unique shape/muscle structure God gave this little dude when he formed his legs...he's quite the sight in shorts these days...OH, and you can see his cute little overlapping toes.)
