He made it!

**UPDATE** More pics on the Miller's blog!

Eric finished the Hood to Coast race this weekend and celebrated with a nap this afternoon. You can catch some pics on the Wilson's blog and at Grandma & Grandpa's (pics of the race...not of the nap). Way to go, Honey! We're very proud of you! Maybe someday I can join you....maybe. :-)

My First Chicken Fight.

Do I need to explain these ones any further? I hope not. Enjoy!

California...in a mere 13.5 hours.

We left seaside and drove strait thru to Leah's parents house in California. The trip should have taken us 8-9 hours WITHOUT a nursing infant, and 10-11 accounting for time to nurse Miles along the way. But alas, God's plans were not our plans that day. The drive was going well, considering our level of exhaustion when we left Seaside, up until noon. Then the constipation, followed by HOURS of diarrhea...literally HOURS, hit Maggie and Sam. It was a horrid lunch experience at a McD's somewhere (the day was so bad I can't even remember where we stopped...although I am sure we won't be welcome back there anytime soon), followed by a HORRID 3-4 hours of trying to get out of Oregon and into California. At the blessed hour of 4:30pm (usually we have already reached our destination by then) we crossed the border into California and rejoiced. We didn't hit Leah's parents house until sometime around 8:30 pm that night (we left Seaside at 7am) and promptly bathed our entire family. That's how NASTY the afternoon had been. It was so bad that we had searched the car for every piece of plastic - or something that might even be considered plastic like- to hold the growing number of underwear and pull ups we were going thru. Even our poor taffy was demoted to Eric's hat as we required the use of it's bag somewhere along the way. It was a really bad day. Really bad. So bad that it was described it as 'a day from hell' in an email asking some family to pray for us along the way.
BUT, we did make it eventually and Miles got to meet his Great-Grandparents in Cali. I think they were more excited than he was, but he was very gracious all week and let a lot of people hold him and really did a minimal amount of fussing about it. Nice job, Miles.
Cute pic of the kids with Grandpa one evening.
Maggie and Grandpa having some bonding time. I thought it was a cute moment.

We had a great week, which included some swimming, some park time, and lots of sleeping....and not too much more pooping. Praise God!

Seaside 2008.

We hit Seaside with our Moffat clan for the first part of August. We had a great time with everyone and were pleasantly surprised at the lack of conflict within the ultra-tired cousin crew! Praise God for good attitude in the plethora of two year olds we had there and the fact that it was only our kids that got the nasty flu bug thing while we were there....although several other family members got it upon arriving at home. Argh. We had a great time at the beach and Sam and Maggie are still talking about jumping the waves and making sand castles with their family. Thanks Mom and Dad for such a great time!!

Ahh, home at last.

After almost 2 weeks of solid vacation we are home again. Here is a taken this morning as we relax a bit.
Sam: Okay, Daddy- you be the train, we be the drivers.
Eric: Sounds good. Get your arms up! Choo-Choo....chuga chuga, Choo Choo!

Random kid pics.

Maggie went with me this evening and received her first haircut...this was her before pic. Hopefully tomorrow I can snap the after pic. She did great getting her hair trimmed up and I am looking forward to a more normal shape of hair on her head. It was getting a bit odd looking. I suppose that happens when you are almost 3 years old and have yet to have a hair trimmed.
Sam had to get in on the action and get his picture taken too.
Miles got a fun tummy time mat/spinner thing from his Great Aunt and Uncle this last weekend. We tossed him up on it last night and thought we'd share the funny pics that were taken as a result. He was a rather happy boy on this thing. Nice purchase Aunt Sue!

Life with 3.

So we've been adjusting fairly well to life with 3 kiddos. Miles is going to be 7 weeks old on Wednesday and typically sleeps about 8-9 hours a night. Ahhh, blessed baby...how I love thee.

Am I enjoying having a singlet, rather than twins??, YES. Yes, I am. Eric and I even pick up this baby to hold him....voluntarily....when he's not even crying! What a blessing to enjoy Miles' infancy so much! Here are some pics of the fam from this last week. I hope you enjoy them!

Sam has become a rather physical little boy (and thus, dragging his sister into his physicalness also) lately....he tackles most anything he can and spends most of his day jumping, climbing, and running from place to place. He's using all 915 sq. feet of our home, and using it to the fullest. I think he has more bruised skin than not on his shins right now. He's quite the sight. Eric was mumbling something like "Ughhh, children...GET OFF." while this pic was being taken.
