Houseguests

So, yes. We had houseguests. Yet another reason the blogging has taken a backseat lately. We attended the Desiring God Regional Conference at Good Shepherd this last weekend and hosted (is is really hosting if 2 out of 3 are people you already know?) 3 guys from Desiring God Ministries. Here are some pics from their visit to our abode.

Edd, Lukas, and Peter- looking relaxed, but really wondering where they are supposed to sit. Maybe someday the Lord will provide a larger sofa for us! :-)
Lukas got a crack up out of Sam. He hardly paid attention to Maggie, but I don't think she noticed. Maybe the Lord is providing Lukas with 4 daughters for the very reason that he would TOTALLY FAVOR a son....?
Sam thought Lukas was pretty fun. Maybe he will want to come play again someday.
Thanks for putting up with our kids, the runny noses, and our cramped living quarters for you! We really enjoyed your visit!

Oh, how time flies...

We had a few emotionally wacked out days this last week. Auntie Andrea came for a visit and watched the kids for us for a bit. THANK YOU Andrea! Here are some cute girls having fun.

Sam can often be found 'dancing' all by himself. Here is how it goes-

Reasons not to blog...

We've been busy. For example:
Maggie wore her first pigtails with no tears.
We have been putting unidentified creams on our faces.
We have also torn a few holes in our house. A new slider, bedroom, and bathroom window have been installed.
Oh, and we (ok- maybe more the guys) took out some sheetrock. That can lengthen the day a bit.
And we have been very busy taking off our PJs.
What has Sam been doing you ask? Getting into things that Mom does not think as of as picture worthy. You know, diaper wipes, toilet paper, sandwich bags...but he has been doing some dancing. Clip to follow.

Well, we aren't too sure how long this took him. But I am sure it wasn't long. He won't be doing it again (we hope). Thankfully it wasn't an entire roll of toilet paper.

Spring Break Fun

We went for a visit up to Table Mountain while visiting Leah's parents. It's very pretty in the spring and there are a lot of wildflowers out. Maggie loved hiking all over the rocks and the flowers. Sam was more concerned with the cows off in the distance (the center pic) and the dirt that was on his hands from time to time. We went for a walk everyday around Grandma and Grandpa's neighborhood. The weather was great. On this walk Great G&G Viertell are walkin' with us.

The bench outside the front door was a big hit.
Great Gpa is aiding Sam in the quest to conquer the Shape-O Ball.
